CRAFTING

PLAYERS

it Started Here.

Invictus’ roots started in 2017. We had moved from California, only to find a lack of structured, quality training in the youth basketball industry in Utah. Determined to take politics and disorganization out of the equation, we first started the LEU League. There, we discovered a wide gap of skills in basketball. There was either beginner levels in poor training or an elite level in Club. There were no in between. We decided to bring that structure and quality into Utah basketball, moving into the Club/teams category in 2018. We were the first in Utah to introduce technical skills training and levels in basketball training. It wasn’t about being on the top team, at least not at first. It has been and always will be about understanding a player’s current skill level and his/her potential first. From there, we work with the player to develop their skill level and to help them find their strength inside and out. We have since grown to become the largest club organization in Utah. We are proud that not only has other clubs and leagues modeled our basketball levels but many have come to us to adopt our business practices and training models. We continue to set the bar of standardizing basketball training and game play in Utah, while continuously innovating our training methods to set ourselves apart. In April of 2024, we embarked on a new journey of a national rebrand to bring about more opportunities and resources for our athletes.

Hence, Invictus Basketball was born.

Often Imitated… Never Duplicated.

How It Works:

At Invictus Basketball Club, we offer 8 levels of basketball. These levels identify where the player’s skillsets are currently and it helps our coaches and trainers know how to help the players improve and move up levels. How fast a player move between levels is unique to the individual player. In Utah, parents and players often want to see immediate results and push the players beyond the level where they should be at. We believe in a “whole child” development approach. This means not only do we want them to improve in their technical skill set and basketball IQ, we want their growth to be consistent with their mental growth which assists in their confidence levels. Basketball is 85% mental and 15% physical. Utah sports often places emphasis in the opposite direction, which, in the long run, results in a slower and more inconsistent progression for the player. Understanding the level where your player resides in and has potential to grow will help the player develop in the fastest and strongest way possible. We ask families and players alike to be positive, work hard, and trust the process.

  • We encourage players to start as young as preschool age. We push for players to build a strong foundation in technical skills over playing the game initially. Doing so will allow them to be a stronger player when it time to play an actual game. In the long run, their progression will be set stronger and enable them to excel in difficulty at older ages. For beginners, enroll in our Skills programs like Little Ballers, Skills Foundations, and Skills Lab as well as beginner's basketball league like the D-league before starting on a year-round competitive team.

  • Once players have a foundation in technical skills and beginners game play, we embark on the journey of competitive teams. We offer 6 levels of teams. Players can move between teams year-round, based on what is best for their progression. The player's coach will work with the parents to give them a better understand of the player's progression pathway. Teams play year-round, typically with 2 hours of practice and 2 hours of technical skills training each week. Higher-level and older teams will have more training hours per week. Coaches give formal individual player evaluations to the parents each year (very much like a report card). We encourage families to work closely with their coaches to ensure the best progression for their players.

  • We are excited to present our new high school and college recruitment path for athletes at Invictus Basketball Club who show strong aptitude in basketball. We have designed a structured and supportive process to help players reach the next level in their athletic careers. Our coaches continuously monitor and evaluate players’ progress throughout the season. Athletes who demonstrate exceptional skills, game intelligence, and a strong work ethic are identified as potential college recruits. Once identified, these athletes receive tailored training programs and resources to further refine their strengths and address any areas of improvement. A recruitment packet is given to identified players with full detail on what that pathway and guidance will look like. Because high school teams are still quite political in Utah, we have developed a club approach to college recruitment for those who fell into the high school team oblivion. Many college players have found success through these routes and we have developed the right national networks to enable this process.

Club Teams

At Invictus Basketball Club, we offer six levels of competitive teams, tailored to meet the unique needs of every player—from beginner to elite. Each team level provides age-appropriate training, competitive play, and personal growth opportunities, ensuring that every athlete reaches their full potential. What sets us apart is our commitment to individualized development, expert coaching, and a focus on both skill and character building. Our coaches, who have played at the collegiate and/or professional level and are USA Gold-Certified, bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to each session. They are also thoroughly background-checked to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Join Invictus and experience the difference in your basketball journey!
